KEY EXPERIENCE

Supervision of teams of Operations Geologists providing guidance in multi well programmes ensuring all deadlines are met and that a top quality service is provided by my teams.

Over 50 wells supervised on the Norwegian Continental Shelf as an Operations Geologist. These wells include, Exploration, Development, HpHt, Geo-steering and Extended Reach Development.

Senior Operations Geologist for Petro-Canada Norge AS from April 2010 to present. Responsible for the planning, supervision while drilling and reporting of the 34/4-13 S (Beta Statfjord) HpHt well. Petro-Canada Norge AS was awarded the Explorationist of the Year 2010 prize for this well.

Senior Operations Geologist / Operations Geology Team Leader for Talisman Energy Norge AS from January 2006 to April 2010. Responsible for the planning, drilling and reporting of 40 wells in 4 years.

As the Operations Geology Team Leader my function is to ensure the client receives the best possible service in an efficient and cost effective manner. In this role I am responsible for the QC and QA of all geology related services the client receives other than 3D seismic surveys.

Familiar with deviated and horizontal well control, using: geo-steering (LWD), Bio-steering, Heavy Mineral steering and Chemical Sequence Stratigraphy steering techniques.

HpHt Experienced, having recently planned and executed the drilling of an HpHt well in Norway that was successfully drilled without well control incident.


Other duties carried out as Senior Operations Geologist include: 

Responsibility for ensuring that the client complies with government regulations for daily and End Of Well Reports, including the timely submission of these data. All of my clients enjoy a flawless record with the NPD (Norwegian government) for timely and accurate submission of data. 
The QC of invoices from geology related service companies. 
Being present at and contributing to appraisals related to poor service from service companies. This role represents large potential financial savings for the client. 
Technical comparison of contracts to ensure they provide value. 
The building and coordination of a team of Operations and Wellsite Geologists that will provide the client with the best possible service. 
The role of Technical Representative for contractor services.
